Cardzgroup wins major European gaming contract

Cardzgroup is selected as the card supplier for one of Europe's largest gaming operators. The first delivery of 600,000 cards using Infineon's SLE5542 chipset has been delivered and is already being used daily by bettors across Europe. With a further one million cards scheduled for delivery over the coming year, Cardzgroup is providing secure and reliable card solutions to Europe's gaming industry.

Cardzgroup wins government ID contact + contactless project

Cardzgroup has been awarded a contract for a new government ID project through one of our integration partners in Europe. With an ambitious schedule for sampling and final production, Cardzgroup provided a combi-card MIFARE 4k contactless + 36k Infineon Java contact solution, with security printing elements including UV invisible ink and Guilloché.

Cardzgroup is pleased to announce that we have won the order for a new mobile phone contactless tag project for a university ID project. The tag, made of robust materials including high-quality ferrite backing with specially designed antenna, allows students on campus to make payments conveniently and securely.

Cardzgroup goes green for loyalty card project

Cardzgroup has been awarded an ongoing contract for 2 million loyalty cards. Following the client's brief we were tasked with providing an environmentally-friendly alternative to the standard plastic core. By utilising recycled materials for the core, then coloured to provide a vivid effect, Cardzgroup was able to provide the client's requested percentage for environmentally friendly recycled materials.

Cardzgroup wins 600k DESFire transportation project

Cardzgroup has been selected to supply over 600k MIFARE DESFire EV1 4K cards for one of our European distribution customers. With these DESFire cards being used for wallet balance payments, being entrusted as the manufacturer for this project is another great show of trust from our clients. Our production team headed by John Wong has been instrumental in providing a product that gives a high gloss finish — meeting the client's stringent standard for ease of graphical personalisation, with accompanying antenna/electrical inlay design that provided an impressive 5 cm to 9 cm read range in the end user's system testing.

Cardzgroup to produce 1 million Mastercard order

Cardzgroup has been selected to produce 1 million Mastercard-branded cards for a South Africa pension project. This project, won with our local manufacturing partner, includes full graphical personalisation and encoding. With the ability to dedicate over 13 Datacard MPR personalisation lines to this order alone, Cardzgroup offers flexibility to clients that need cards for issuance projects within short time periods.

July 2011 Milestone

Cardzgroup produces 1-millionth thermal rewritable card

Cardzgroup marks a milestone with the production of its one-millionth thermal rewritable card. These cards, produced with Ricoh or Mitsubishi film, are increasingly popular for PVC and Smart-based loyalty and ticketing applications. With Cardzgroup thermal rewritable products, the card can be manufactured with quarter- to full-coverage of the card, depending on client requirement and budget.

June 2011 Expansion

Cardzgroup opens office in Pakistan

Responding to demand from markets in the area, Cardzgroup announces the opening of a sales support office in Pakistan. Pakistan has been on our radar for expansion for the last several years. With the appointment of Syed Adnan Hassan as business development manager, we look forward to providing our new customers in the region with exemplary products and service.

Cardzgroup wins JTOP 32k / Mifare 4k combi card order

Cardzgroup has recently completed an order for 20k Mifare 4k S70 cards with embedded JTOP 32k Java module. These cards, produced for a university project, allow students to securely log in to public desktop computers. Students can remove the card and their work is saved for retrieval at a later date when the card is read again, even at a different workstation.

As of November 2009, Cardzgroup has produced over 350,000 key tags for the loyalty market in Europe. Key tags are not only a more competitive option than cards, they are very versatile. By attaching to a key ring, they continually promote the customer's product by being visible at all times.

Cardzgroup wins 300k Mifare 1k order

Cardzgroup is happy to announce that we have been selected for a rollout project for a Western European Sport Association. This tender, won in conjunction with a local partner, cements Cardzgroup's success as a major player in the European RFID market. While other manufacturers target both end user and distributor markets, our model is to deal only with manufacturers, distributors and integrators.

Cardzgroup opens regional office in South Africa

Cardzgroup is pleased to announce the opening of our new regional office in Johannesburg, South Africa. Managed by two directors with extensive industry experience, Cardzgroup Africa was opened to increase efficiency in communication and sales support to existing clients, and to leverage new opportunities in the Loyalty, ID, Telecommunications and Banking markets.

Cardzgroup releases NXP DESFire EV1 (2k, 4k, 8k)

Cardzgroup is pleased to announce the addition of the new DESFire EV1 (2k, 4k and 8k) product to our MIFARE range. MIFARE DESFire EV1 is ideal for service providers wanting to use multi-application smart cards in transport schemes, e-government, or identity applications. It fully complies with ISO/IEC 14443A and uses optional ISO/IEC 7816-4 commands.

EM4200 released

Cardzgroup are now pleased to offer the new EM 4200 from EM Microelectronics. EM4200 is a CMOS integrated circuit intended for use in electronic Read Only RF transponders. It is designed to replace directly the EM Microelectronic-Marin Read Only ICs EM4100/4102 and EM4005/4105.

Blank self-adhesive cards

Cardzgroup is pleased to announce the introduction of blank white self-adhesive cards. Blank adhesive cards are traditionally used when clamshell smart cards need to be personalised. With Cardzgroup's new adhesive card the customer is able to personalise the card with photo/barcode, remove the self-adhesive strip, and directly stick the card onto the surface of the clamshell card. The Cardzgroup self-adhesive range comes in CR79 and CR80 and in thickness from 0.36 to 0.76 mm.
